Jonathan resides in Wellesley, MA, with his wife, Paula, and their three children, Nicolas, Michael, and Juliana. The Penta family enjoys an active lifestyle, including traveling, fitness, and skiing. Jonathan is also a dedicated community member, contributing his time as a youth soccer coach.

Thomas Sherwin

President & CEO CEO Resources, Inc.

Thomas J. Sherwin, Founder and President of CEO Resources, Inc. in Framingham, MA, is a nationally recognized expert on and advisor to CEOs in the areas of Strategy, CEO Coaching, Succession and Corporate Governance.  His client companies vary by size, location and across numerous commercial, educational, and non-profit segments.  Among the 350+ companies, CEOs, Presidents and board engagements have been public companies, private companies owned by families, individuals and investment funds as well institutions of higher education.

Previously, he was the CEO of Surgicot Flexible Packaging, Osteo-Technology and The Maasdam Corporation as well as a senior executive with the medical device companies: American Hospital Supply (NYSE), G.D. Searle (NYSE), Whittaker General Medical (NYSE) and Electro-Biology (NASDAQ).

He is a Past-President of the New England Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD-NE) and is a frequent speaker on corporate governance topics. Previously, he served on the board of TNCO, Inc., which completed an ownership transition in 2001 and the Board of ENEFCO, Inc., which completed a successful ownership transition in 2011 as well as the Board of Advisors of Keyword Connects, LLC. which completed an ownership transition in 2017 and was Lead Director of Artisan Industries, Inc., while advising several other boards and offering in-boardroom education and board self-evaluation processes.

Mr. Sherwin was a member of the Board of Directors of the Smaller Business Association of New England, the UMass Dartmouth Family Business Center, the Lewis & Clark College National Board of Alumni, the Mazie Foundation, the Maasdam Corporation (Chairman), the Board of Visitors of Lewis & Clark Law School, Osteo-Technology (Chairman), The New England Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors (President), and was the founding Chairman of the Framingham Public Access (TV) Corporation.  He has been a member of the Boston College Chief Executives Club for over a decade.

Mr. Sherwin founded and conducted the SBANE CEO Roundtable for ten years and has chaired the CEO Resources’ CEO Forum, which he also founded, for the last 25 years.  Recently he established the Trusted Advisor FORUM. He is a popular speaker on topics of interest to CEOs and those who work with and advise them.

Mr. Sherwin served as an elected member of Framingham Town Meeting 2002-2008.  He served as Precinct Chair and Vice Chair of the Ways & Means Committee.

Mr. Sherwin holds a B.A. in International Affairs from Lewis & Clark College and a J.D. from Lewis & Clark Law School.  He is a past member of the Washington State Bar Association and an Associate Member of the Massachusetts Bar Association

 

Greg Rush

Senior Managing Director Dunn Rush & Co.

Greg Rush is a co-founder of Dunn Rush & Co., and is responsible for business development, transaction execution and firm operations. Greg has deep experience with various types of transactions across a range of industries, including consumer, industrial, manufacturing, media, retail, business services, technology, communications and defense. Prior to Dunn Rush, he served as Managing Director for Citi Capital Strategies, Citigroup’s middle market investment banking platform, where he established a Boston office in 2007. Previously Greg spent more than eight years in investment banking with Tucker Anthony Incorporated and SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, where he was responsible for the origination and execution of corporate finance assignments for both publicly traded and privately held middle market companies. His experience includes advising on merger and acquisition transactions, public offerings, fairness opinions, and private placements of equity and debt.

Previously, Greg also was the Chief Operating Officer of the Community Newspaper Company (CNC), a cluster of more than 100 newspapers and specialty publications in the Boston region that was owned by Herald Media, Inc. CNC was acquired by newly-formed GateHouse Media, Inc., where he continued to serve as Chief Operating Officer of GateHouse Media New England through a period of rapid growth that included numerous acquisitions and the company’s Initial Public Offering. While at CNC and GateHouse, Greg was responsible for driving revenue, controlling costs, and identifying and implementing growth strategies such as acquisitions and new product launches.

Greg has served on a number of non-profit and industry association boards. He received a B.A. in economics from Dartmouth College and is a Registered Investment Banking and Securities Representative, Compliance Officer and Operations Professional (Series 7, 14, 63, 79, 99) and a Series 24 Investment Banking and General Securities Principal.

Janice O'Reilly, CPA, CGMA

Gregory Stoller

Professor Gregory Stoller (pronunciation is dollar with an "sto") is a senior lecturer in strategy and innovation at Boston University's Questrom School of Business. He is actively involved in building entrepreneurship, experiential learning, and international business programs at Boston University. He also actively mentors student teams and guides them in business plans and venture capital competitions.

Shannon S. Zollo

M&A, and Private Equity Nutter

Shannon S. Zollo is chair of Nutter’s M&A and Private Equity practice groups. He advises clients on a wide range of corporate law matters, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital, executive compensation, and corporate governance. Shannon has significant expertise in the life sciences, health care, technology, and defense sectors. He also serves as outside general counsel to a number of privately held companies.

Active in numerous professional and civic organizations, Shannon is the co-founder of XPX and a member of the board of trustees of Cristo Rey Boston High School, where he chairs the Development Committee.
